Gainesville ISD has scheduled the substitute orientation dates for the Fall.  All subs, both new and returning, are required to attend orientation prior to being approved for employment for the 2023-24 school year.  

There are multiple options available, but subs only have to attend one training session.

March 25 - 9:00- 10:00 am 

Substitute daily pay rates are as follows:

$150 - Texas certified teacher
$120 - Non-Certified
$160 - Long-term certified teacher
$130 - Long -term non-certified teacher 

A long - term sub is one who subs for more than 15 days in a row in the same position.   

If you are a new substitute, please apply online by clicking here and bring a current driver’s license, social security card and official high school and/or college transcripts to orientation.
